Annual licence renewal opens March 31

Annual licence renewal for all Insurance Council licensees will open on March 31, 2023. Licensees are encouraged to verify that their contact information is up to date so that they are able to receive renewal related notification and reminder emails during the renewal period starting at the end of March.

The licence renewal fee for individual licences is $285, and for agency/firm licences is $525; both include the government fee.

The deadline to complete annual renewal for all licences is June 1, 2023.

Annual licence renewals received after the June 1 deadline will be subject to an additional late fee of $200 for individual licences and $350 for agency/firm licences. Any licences not renewed by August 1, 2023, will be cancelled for non-renewal.

Update to renewal requirement

While licence renewal will be available as of March 31, recent changes to Council Rule 4(4) mean that you must meet your annual continuing education (CE) and Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance requirements before you can renew your licence.

During the online renewal process, licensees will be asked to confirm that they have met their annual CE and E&O requirements before they can proceed to renew their licence.

Licensees are encouraged to complete their CE credits early to ensure they meet requirements to renew their licence by the June 1 deadline.
