Introduction
Completion of the LLQP (Life Licence Qualification Program) is a required certification if you or your organization want to sell life insurance products in British Columbia.
A little bit more information about the exam that gives an overview of the exam and Insurance Council of BC's expertise/relevance to it (answering the questions "Why this?", "why them?")
1. Complete Prerequisites
Before registering to take the LLQP exam, be sure to find out about the exam prerequisites and our pre-licensing requirements.
Please note that, as of July 1, 2023, the Insurance Council no longer offers online LLQP exams.
2. Submit Registration
Register for the LLQP Exam
In-person exams are available for registration within Metro Vancouver (Vancouver and Surrey), and in other BC regions outside of Metro Vancouver.

3. Schedule Exam
Exam Dates
Before you choose your LLQP exam date for an in-person exam sitting, please refer to the exam schedules for Vancouver, Surrey, Cranbrook, Kelowna, Prince George, and Victoria.

Exam Costs and Fees
Examinees have the option to pay for a full-day exam package, or pay for and schedule one or more individual exam modules.

Apply for Your Licence
